Backup everything

I move my project, my media files, my timeline, all assets to an external hard-drive.... I open the project and of course the clips are all offline. But no matter what I do, and believe me, I've tried everything, I cannot get the files to relink!
I'm obviously doing something wrong. I have been all over the internet trying to find a tutorial on this... I have found a few, I've followed them step by step, and it still doesn't work for me. I'm pulling my hair out!

Can anyone help me?!

You need to post a lot more information: Which hardware (CPU, GPU, RAM, disk I/O speed)? What specific version of Resolve? What OS? What source material? What timeline resolution? What framerate? Which GPU drivers are installed?

Generally in cases where we see issues with relinking files, it's due to a permissions problem, a drive labeling problem, or possibly the free version of Resolve (which does not support the wider range of formats supported by Resolve Studio). The files should be visible in the Media page, and you should be able to work your way backwards to figure out how to get the source material to be visible in Resolve.

Thank you ...but I figured it out. I had to change the source path. Why Resolve can't figure this out for itself?? But at least I can make it work for now.
