Y (select clips forward on track) still not working

PostWed Apr 14, 2021 12:39 pm

Like in DR 16 the command "Select all clips forward on this track" is still not working. Any workaround or recommendation? Thanks beforehand

Option or shift needed now. I’m not in front of my system.

Y is working fine here in Studio 17.1.1 for Windows.

As a test, make sure you're using the default Resolve shortcuts.

Is you timeline highlighted/active when using the hot key?

I’m working on a Mac and neither option+y nor shift+y are working. Interestingly at option+shift+y and cmd+shift+y DR selects the audio clips forward on A1 ...

Y and OPT Y and both selecting all tracks forward for me.
I am running Mojave which is not supported and have found a few glitches but nothing I can't work around to have the extra features of 17.

Hi

If an action works when invoked from a menu but not by hotkey, you may be using a custom keymapping that has an override - or has the shortcut removed. Try the menu actions under Timeline > Select Clips Forward. Do they work? Do they show the hotkey?

Please check the instructions in these two posts on keyboard shortcut related issues: here and here.

If the menu actions don't work in themselves, please check your track autoselect states. Or use Timeline > Auto Track Selector > actions to enable the tracks you need. Last (since it's unlikely), is your timeline editable?

Works flawlessly for me.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

Hello
With resolve 17.4.2 on MacOS BigSur (iMac 2020) Y isn't working correctly
Same behaviour on the 4 iMacs

What I discover is that Y follows the "Track Destination".
What about you ?
How to make it work properly ?

Thanks

P.S. manual's page 595 doesn't help Much

I just checked on the laptop with 17.4.2 with OSX Monterey and Timeline -> Select Clips Forward -> Select Clips On This Track, it fails. If I select ALL Clips in the menu, it does work. Y does not work. Option-Y does work and it will follow the track selector. The behavior has apparently changed (unless I'm tired and/or on drugs). So I think you've spotted a real problem.

Make sure the Auto Track selector is on (left on the timeline, to the right of the lock icon.

Funny. Yesterday it worked flawlessly. Today it refuses to work. This is really weird and frustrating when you want to just get on with the main task and DVRS decides it has a mind of its own!

I am on the latest version 18.1.

I'm going nuts. Auto track selector is on, yet when I press cmd + y only my video track where I clicked the 'V' icon on the left (see included) picture is selected. I'm working on an xml out of Premiere and obviously something is different in the settings, I just can't figure out what it is. Anyone know what I am missing? Thanks!

You're missing clips, a bunch of them.

Honestly, I have no idea.

Working here on W10Pro this way: Alt-Y selects all clips forward on all tracks to the end of the timeline and Ctrl-Y all clips on all tracks to the beginning of the timeline.

"Y" alone - although defined in the Keyboard-Customization as "Select Clips forward on this track" does not do nothing, is in my oppinion obsolete anyway.... ;)
