Resolve 17 - No audio output

I have edited a couple of dozen videos with Resolve since installing it a few months ago. I edited a video on Thursday just fine. I opened Resolve tonight and found that there is no audio output. I did nothing to change anything. My system outputs audio to my headset, just not resolve, same to my speakers. I changed Bus from Main to Near and got audio for a few minutes but now that does not work. What on earth could be the issue?

Have a look in the system prefs / video and audio I/O
The middle setting - "Speaker Setup" is the first drop down set to 'Use System setting' like in this picture or 'Manual'?

If it's on manual your speaker assignments may have gotten messed up somehow. Try it on 'Use system setting' if you are getting normal audio from your desktop and see if that works? If so you can go back to manual and set up your speaker assignments manually but it;s an easy way to check that the system is working.

I have it set to use system setting but have also tried changing it to a specific output to no avail. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled, no change.

In the Fairlight page are you seeing level in the meter for the main output bus when you play the timeline?
Is the volume slider by the speaker icon at the top right of the page all the way up (to the right) and the 'dim' isn't lit?
