Do i need to be always online for the license key version

I work with the free version of davinci for a while now and i am very happy but some features that i want to use are for studio so i am thinking about upgrading. I saw that there is the key and the dongle version and the dongle version can be used offline. Since i am working on my notebook and only have 2 USB Ports and they are in use most of the time i would highly prefer the key version but from time to time we are in a location without internet.

So long story short.
Do i need a constant internet connection for using the studio version or can i also use it when i have no internet for some days? With Adobe Products for example i can be offline for a week or so without problems but it wants me to go online from time to time to check if the license is still valid.

You only need the internet access to activate the key. you can be offline forever after that.
