How do I get out of full screen???

I think you need to explain what full screen mean. is it just video you are seeing or do you still see the menu bar.

if the menu bar is visible got to workspace>full screen window and uncheck it

if your video is full screen press esc to see if you get back to normal

just click Workspace>Full Screen Window on the top menu. the mac controls will come back
