Thanks. After you pointed that out, I re-created a project. And when I take the step, in the 3 dots menu, to click SHOW ALL, only then do the comments and keywords appear in the Edit Index.
Either that is a bug, or I feel that it is not intuitive.
I believe the intuitive approach would be that, if a column is shown in the Edit Index or Media Pool, then its contents should automatically be displayed. If there is an intention to hide that information, then the column should not appear in the Edit Index. i.e. when the user selects a column to appear in the Edit Index, then the user's selection should automatically populate that column with information.
Most users come from either a Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac environment where the display of a column automatically causes the associated information to be displayed in that column. There is no two-step process of (i) displaying the column and (ii) commanding the information to be displayed in the column.
As I see it, there's no point in displaying a column, but not showing any information in the column. By doing that, it gives the false impression that there is no data for that field, when there is.
