DVE not keystoning z-position

PostTue Nov 17, 2020 7:36 am

in v17 beta 6, when I add a DVE effect on a clip, and click to keystone the z-position, then move to another timecode and change the z-position, the red color of the keystone stays, but actual keystones are not being set (the new value is used at all time locations).

Still an issue in the released 17.1.

Is there some other way to dynamically expand ("zoom") a DVE window? (which is different from zooming the image embedded in the window, which clips at the rectangular DVE boundary as it is intended to)

Can you post some steps to reproduce?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Jim, sure.
* Edit page
* Drag a video clip to timeline
* Drag DVE effect onto the clip
* Select the clip, go to the effects tab, and look at the DVE parameters
* click the red diamond to set a keystone
* drag the timeline somewhere
* adjust the z-value parameter for the DVE
* play through the area and watch for the DVE size to change (or not)

HOWEVER - it's working today when I try it on my current project in 17.2. So I'm puzzled and suggest parking this until I can figure out some other aspect of "when it happens" (or if it was fixed in 17.2).

I think the word you want is keyframe.
Keystoning is a camera geometry phenomenon.

Yeah, it worked fine for me in Studio 17.2 for Windows.

(On a side note, those are keyframes, not keystones.)
