Da Vinci Resolve 17 install error! DLL Error?

After installing the new 17 update I get this error. Resolve.exe - Entry Point Not Found "The procedure entry point CM_Register_Notification could not be located in the dynamic link library CFGMGR32.dll."

I have tried to uninstall and redo the install process but it will still not start the software after installation.

I am having the exact same issue, running on Win 7 SP 1, but I think Resolve 17 probably just doesn't work on Win 7, as they've likely migrated efforts to Win 10.

16 appears to be the last version which will run on Win7. You'll get this error message with 7. I think it's a starting routine first available with 8.1 (and missing from 7), rather than missing or defective dll files as indicated by the message. But if there's a fix, it's not obvious.

You may get an early version 16 to work on Win 7, but more likely you need to go back to 14.
That error also indicates that the GPU is not compatible with Resolve. These are the minimum specs to run
versions 16.2.7 and up to the current 17.1b10.

Charles, not to encourage illicit practices, but 16 works fine under Win 7. There are some h.264/5 export limitations, is all.
