How do I choose which multicam gets cut?

PostSat May 15, 2021 11:49 am

I have a timeline with three different multicam clips stacked on top of each other. When I have the source viewer in Multicam mode, it will only show me and operate on the top multicam clip. If I disable the track the top clip is on it still shows and splits that one instead of the one below it. Even if I disable, turn off auto track select, and lock every track but the one I want to work on, the multicam viewer still shows the top one, although it won't split it while it's locked.

So how can I get the multicam viewer to show me the lower tracks? Is it possible or do I have to split and switch those manually?

Thanks!

That won't work. Add all the cameras to a single Multicam.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

That's good to know, thanks! In this particular situation I can't put them all in a single multicam because I need them to be layered in the timeline for the effect I'm trying to achieve. But I can cut and switch them manually without too much extra trouble.
