Please help, I may lose a lot of work over this issue...
I have a project where I had to create a separate timeline (because of a bug, mtf) but for reasons I cannot comprehend, this second timeline stutters like mad every half second. All project settings are to used optimized media and proxies (which I manually generate) at half-resolution DNxHQ LB, and even checkmarking "render cache color output" doesn't help at all. If I switch to the original timeline, it's buttery smooth.
Both timelines are 59.94fps with mainly gopro footage shot in 59.94 (proxied to dnxhq).
The "bug" that made me do this in the first place was I couldn't export the main timeline at the project framerate of 59.94. For some reason, it would only allow me to export at 25fps, even though the timeline, project, all the media, etc, were all 59.94.
So I created a separate timeline with 59.94 as it's framerate and that let me do the first export for a "screening" copy.
But I've since gone and made tons of fairlight edits and transitions before I realized this new timeline won't play back smooth at all, and I really need to make some speed changes in areas so it's critical that I get it working again. Like I said, if I switch to the original timeline in the same project, which as far as I can tell has the exact same settings, it's buttery smooth... it just doesn't have the 5-6 hours of added work in it!
Grateful for any ideas!
