Problem with Preview-Window

PostTue May 18, 2021 12:38 pm

Hello,
Since my update to Davinci 17 I have the following problem: As soon as I activate the inspector I only see the currently active image. So either the raw material or the timeline. As soon as I deactivate the inspector again, both previews are visible again.
Is that intentional, is it a mistake or did I choose the wrong setting?
Thank you for every hint.

This is normal. You need a higher resolution monitor.

I recommend nothing less than 1440 @ 24"
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

As Jim says, this is normal. You can switch between the Preview and Timeline viewers by clicking the Q key on your keyboard. It's all down to the amount of screen real estate. If you have two monitors both windows will be shown.

@Jim Simon I use two computers. Both have 4k screens
@Charles Bennet I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case with version 16. So I thought maybe something was wrong now.

Thanks for the answers

Hmmm. Using a screen resolution of at least 1440, I'm not sure what might cause that.
