Speed editor & Bluetooth

My speed editor seems to stay permanently connected to my MacBook's bluetooth which isn't super convenient as I have multiple bluetooth accessories so I can't just turn it off. Is there a way to disconnect without having to unpair it every time? How does one properly manage this situation as I am very confused?

I wish Blackmagic Design would've just added an on/off switch.
