upgrade to new Database server 17 application

PostFri May 21, 2021 9:45 am

Hello

At our studio we have upgraded all workstation to V17.1.1 (database backup was done via PostgreSQL and we have a script that exported every single dpr just in case). We are using the resolve database server app as well, and we need to update it too, as at the moment it's not reading the new database of V17.
We would like to have some recommendation on the best way to upgrade the app, and to know if there are some things to be careful of while updating.

Thanks for your time.

I would just create a new database for 17, and continue with new projects from there. for current projects, use the old database.

The Project Server is a standalone install now, available for download in the Support section, https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion. The latest version is DaVinci Resolve Project Server 17.1.
