Import timeline with media in different location?

PostSun May 23, 2021 6:09 pm

I am importing a timeline from another program with the media located on another drive. Normally Resolve would ask the user to provide a location to satisfy locating the unfound media. However, for some reason, these files, albeit identical copies, cannot be identified by the Resolve import. Frustrating, what else can I do to convince resolve these are in fact the same files aside from changing the drive letter (which would screw up other projects).

Weirdly, some files are successfully identified. Advise?

Import the files into the Media Pool first and then load the timeline. Does that work?
If not, those files might come from an amateur camera without proper timecode.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Okay, so everything works now and apparently always had been. I had deduced to a single corrupted media file that prevented the import. All is well, Thanks.
