braw clips not playing or being imported in Davinci Resolve

PostMon May 31, 2021 5:24 pm

I'm using Davinci Resolve 17.2.0
The thing is that while recording, the URSA Mini 12k camera named the two cards I was using in the two CFast slots with the same card number (A008) When arrived to post one of the cards was allright and the other had apparently the same clip names with the same weight than the other card but but I could not import any media in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro and it did not play in Blackmagic BRAW Player. In the damage card I could only play the first clip and it was not the same clip that in the not damage card so how can this be? and there is a way to recover the clips of the damage card?

Ive checked and this seems odd.

To format both cards as A008 you’d have to over-ride and force a reel number to be duplicated, and then if you did record on each separately they’d have different timestamp in the file name… so this suggests a dual card recording maybe???

if that was the case, then all the files on the second card would have a .braw2 extension on them.

If you DID record with the ‘record RAW to 2 cards’ option set to on and then copied both of the mags with these files on them into the one folder… bringing into Resolve they would open and play back as slow motion (double the frame rate).

If you didn’t copy them into the same folder then they should still all open as separate clips and be able to be played back in Resolve as normal motion (every second frame / half the frame rate of if you copied them all into the one folder)

from your info im not sure which of the above is applicable or what's on each card.
