BRAW Camera Raw vs Primaries

PostFri Jun 04, 2021 12:54 am

Hi. I'm struggling with color grading footage from BMPCC recoded in BRAW. I'm thinking about difference between working on Camera Raw (contrast / midpoint / whites / black) insteed of same controls with primaries wheels or curves. Insteed of ease of use, did you find any difference between those ways in term of quality, or it dosen't matter which tool I will use?

Best regards.

In terms of quanitfyable quality (mathematically) it makes no difference whatsoever. In noncolormanaged project you can get a certain look from braw by using their extended video etc profiles, so if you like that look, go for it.
