17 Speed and next plea for focus

PostSun Jun 06, 2021 11:12 am

Thanks for the excellent release speed wise! On my Linux boxes opens up almost as quick as basic KdenLive. Couple seconds and project is open. Performance is great overall.

That being said

1. Please please please can we have a HiDPI solution. I'm running KDE which is QT based as I'm told Davinci is. Please can we have Davinci honour the 125% ie fractional KDE / QT settings. 1x or 2x just doesn't cut it on 1440p or 4k screen. The rest of my KDE / QT based apps look great.

Lastly
2. Please bring out a Speed Editor with an OFF switch. Everytime I want to edit my battery is dead.

Are you using a charger that is powerful enough? In my experience the Speed Editor battery lasts a really long time.

There is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Yes my charger is most certainly enough. It's 65W. The problem is the Speed Editor doesn't have a off button and after a couple weeks in my box it's flat when I need it.

Thanks - though I did note many posts on HiDPI scaling, none recent and no response from BMD on them. . I'll keep it in mind for future requests.

That seems strange. The SE shouldn't go flat when not in use. I can leave mine off for many weeks without issue. Still plenty of charge when I go to use it.
