Hello,
I'm trying to export an animated logo, with the final result having a transparent background so I can use it as an overlay on whatever. The entire thing consists of 4 PNG images, each with transparent backgrounds, and the set-up is as follows:
1: PNG 1 comes in out of Directional Blur
2. PNG 2 pops in with keyframed X/Y position changes
3. PNG 3 is revealed with the "Clock Wipe" transition, with a "Glow" effect fading in and out through Fusion
4. PNG 4 fades in through keyframed opacity changes, with a "Glow" effect fading in and out through Fusion
I can actually get it to export with a transparent background using the following settings:
Render: Single Clip
Format: Quicktime
Codec: DNxHR
Type: DNxHR 444 12-bit
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 HD
Frame rate: 24
Export Alpha is checked
Alpha Mode: Premultiplied (can't change this, greyed out)
However, when I do this, (parts of) some layers (PNG 2 and 3) become somewhat transparent as soon as the "Clock Wipe" starts and then snap back to no transparency as soon as it ends. This isn't the case when I play the project itself in Resolve, but when I import and play the exported product in Resolve (where I would use it), it shows. When I take off the Clock Wipe and keep everything else the same, it doesn't happen any more.
So why is the Clock Wipe the effect messing with the transparency of the layer it's on, as well as a different layer altogether, and then only after exporting? And how can I fix it?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
