Suddenly no Sound on Timeline

PostWed Jun 30, 2021 3:26 pm

Hi there!

I am on Mac OSX 11.13.1 and am working with Resolve Studio 17.2.1 Build 12. I have the projects hosted on a Qnap System running the SQL database thing. Here is my problem:

I was working on an interview, where I synced the clips in the cut page (synced audio with external audio), edited, put some second camera shots on top of it and then had to work on a different timeline.

Now I just started my system, wanting to finish the interview. But when I switched to the interview timeline there is no sound and neither are there any waveforms visible. That obviously made me a litte nervous.

I went to a backup and all was fine. So I thought I would just export the timeline with the sound from the backup project and import it into my "real" project. But, after doing so, there isn't any sound or waveforms either. That confuses me. The buses are routed correctly as far as I can tell. The other timelines don't seem to be having any trouble with the sound either.

One stupid thing happened a few days ago. My server turned off, while resolve was still running. Next time I started it took ages to start, but then was allright.

Does anybody have any Idea where my audio goes to? I live in a rural area, so no bars or anything close by....

Your help would be very much appreciated.

best wishes,

Martin
