Resolve Crashes on Startup-Puzzled

PostTue Jul 06, 2021 6:32 pm

Have tried uninstalling-Reinstalling, rebooting, etc on a fairly new HP Laptop. Would like to get a Studio version but need to solve this issue first. Generally crashes on the Fairlight section of the startup banner Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

The log and capture files can be found at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

Thanks!

Can you try a custom install of the GPU driver.

What changed on the system since 6-13, when it was last working, and 6-23, when it stopped working?

Did you add any apps? Do you have any external devices connected that weren't connected on 6-13 and earlier?

As for a GPU, I only have the onboard nVidea using NVENC.

As to changes, not positive, but it's a laptop with usb devices being constanly changed, mostly western Digital USB Drives, and a ElGato Video Capture Device. I will try removing all external devices and attempt to narrow it down.

Solved: I believe

I believe my issue was caused by an ElGato USB Video Capture device. I removed the device and Resolve started normally. I plugged it in again and Resolve crashed. So for now I'll try and remember to remove the device when using resolve. Thanks!
