I've been trying to add subtitles to my Resolve project, and it's been working well. The problem however, is that I can't seem to find a way to add two or more layers of subtitles at once, say for when two people are talking at the same time (or more).
Unfortunately, currently davinci only supports displaying one track of subtitles at the same time. But you can add a carriage return when you need it, it becomes two lines, and you have two lines of subtitles. In addition, there are tools on the Internet that can convert the subtitle track into xml, which can be turned into a text track. In this way, you can have an unlimited number of subtitle tracks.
Ah, that's a bummer. Thanks for your tips regardless, I'll be sure to try them out.
But just to double check, a carriage return is essentially just repositioning the cursor to the next line, right?
EDIT : Is there a way to time the sentence/dialogue done via carriage return? Because all the talking in my project doesn't happen at the same time - they're seconds/moments apart from each other
