Audio Not Working

Last week, when I opened Davinci Resolve 17, I was asked to allow an update, which I did. Ever since then, I cannot hear the audio portion of videos I'm editing. I can see the mixer recognizing the audio, and I can see the sound track, but I cannot hear it no matter what audio device (headphones, computer speakers, monitor speakers) I try. What am I missing?

That doesn't sound right. Resolve should inform you that an update is available, but we still have to download, Unzip and manually install that update. I don't believe it's possible for this to happen automatically.

That said, what are your settings under Preferences?System>Video and Audio I/O>Speaker Setup?

Actually, you are correct about the update. I was being summary in my description. I still have the ZIP file, which has the name DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_17.2.1_Windows. I also have the extracted exe file for the update.

Therein lies the interesting part. My Davinci screen shows that I am still running version 17.1.1 It looks like I ran the exe file, but something went wrong, because, in the Davinci Resolve About, it's showing that I was still running version 17.1.1!

I just ran the update exe file again, and now my audio is back like nothing had ever been wrong.
