confirm. i record these videos in 1080p60 and audio is at max 192 48000hz. somehow resolve 14 doesnt like this.
so i reduce the audio to 128 44100hz and now it works fine in resolve.

something developer to look onto.

16bit 48k audio working fine here. This sounds like a sample rate miss match. Where did your 192 and 128 audio come from? Also how about some system specs such as OS, amount of ram, GPU, exact version of Resolve, etc.

heres my spec
GPU: GeForce GTX 780 Ti
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM (15.94 GB RAM usable)
Current resolution: 1920 x 1080, 60Hz
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise
using davinci resolve 14 free edition.
with xbox, i can set audio quality up and down (now i record with this one at 128 audio).
with shadowplay, somehow everything is set at maximum (192 audio).

so how do you match the original video audio and resolve audio? i can only tinkering with video settings.

shadowplay records in variable framerate - that's a big no no for resolve, hence you will get some odd behaviour with audio etc.

shadowplay + resolve = no no.

but still. something developers should look into.

Why are you recording at 192kHz? As far as I know, no streaming service, TV network, theatrical DCP, or release format can handle this. 48kHz 16-bit or 24-bit is very, very standard.

I think you're making a major workflow mistake recording sound at 192kHz, but that's just my opinion.

there is no option to reduce the sound quality in shadowplay. otherwise id do it.
thats why i switch to xbox live at 128 48khz or lower if still gives me problem. but it works ok now.

Having done some checking I see that 192 and 128 are mp3 bitrates. So it would appear that your audio is mp3 and not wav.

Don't confuse sample rate (kHz) and bit rate (bit per second).
And mp3 is not a good format for serious audio work.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

not sure how to respond this. but i did lower my bitrates to 96 - 128 kbps, 48kHz and now the audio is perfectly fine. i only using audio from the game. but yeah something to remember if i ever going to edit some of my own video.

thanks charles. :D

192kbps... 192kHz. Very different things.

MP3's are a very bad format for post-production for many reasons -- the least of which is sound quality.

Can someone help me here?
If I export the videos at a limited quality of 10000 Kbps I get a poor quality in 4K but a good sound. If I export at a High quality I get a good video quality but the sound interrupts every 15-20 seconds. I didn't edited the sound, I just set it up at export to match the camera, 24 bit.
Raw files come from Fuji X-T3, 4k, 100Mbps. Am I doing something wrong here?

I did more trials and I noticed if I use 100,000 or 120,000 Kb/s for Quality I end up with a good video quality and a good sound quality without no interruptions.

Hello, I am in desperate need of some help with this issue. I am fairly new to video editing, especially on Devinci Resolve. I did not realize that this was actually an issue. I just thought that the program lowered the quality of the video and audio for the preview, like how After Effects does. Because of this, I ended up editing and finishing my video anyway. I spent over 25 hours straight editing three hours' worth of footage. When I finally rendered the completed video, it still had the clipping audio. Needless to say, I felt defeated. This is the only place on the internet where I can find an exact example of what the audio sounds like. It sounds exactly like the original video posted in this forum. I attempted to read some of the comments here but they didn't help in my case. Most of the answers pertain to how the footage was recorded and to change that for future videos. I need to find a way to fix the footage I have because frankly, I don't want to edit my project all over again. So please, is there a way I can fix the audio without having to re-edit my whole video?
If it helps, I recorded my footage using the program Stream Labs OBS.
I also saved my rendered edited video as a .MP4
Thank you

You'll appreciate it's difficult to diagnose something like this without sitting in front of your computer, but I'll give it a go.
This problem is not normal in Resolve.
You talk about a video posted on this forum. Give me a link to it.
What computer are you using, PC or Mac? What are its specs? Look at my signature. It details the sort of information needed.
Also, is your video HD or UHD?
When you have posted that we'll move on.

I think his basic problem is OBS, not only shadowplay + resolve = no no. We have dozens of users on this forum (and others) who have experienced audio problems with such files, probably due to the variable frame rate. Once they fix this in OBS, it'll be fine.

If that takes Stream Labs too long, get a hardware recorder.

BTW, some amateur software can handle those files.

I realise this is an old thread but I also recently had the same issue when recording a voiceover directly into Davinci.

For anyone else who is having this problem, I realised it was interference from my mobile phone! Turning it to flight mode sorted it for me.
