Speed Editor Smells of Burnt Electronics?

PostWed Mar 10, 2021 8:37 pm

I just got my speed editor in the mail and it smells like something strange. I'm not sure if it's burnt electronics, or just new electronics. Does anyone else have a strange smell coming from their Speed Editor?

Also, is there a way to just test all the keys to see if they're working?

Hi, I just received mine and it has an intense plastic smell on the bottom (black plastic), guess it didn't air out / dry out enough after production before it was put in the box it seems. Don't breath in the smells, shouldn't be too healthy, my throat still itches from smelling it. I put the thing in the basement to air out for a week now.
They should take care about that problem with future products. Everything has some smell when new and out of the box, but usually it's just a tiny bit and you can befriend with that electronic and a bit of plastic smell.. in this case, it's poisonous, at least with the one I received.
