Insert Clip placing clips in the wrong place

PostMon Jul 26, 2021 12:02 am

Hi, I'm new to DaVinci Resolve. I'm trying to use Insert Clip to splice in some footage. However, no matter where I put the marker, it keeps putting all of my footage waaaaaay at the end of the timeline (not all the way at the end, just at a seemingly random spot, but it's the same spot every time). At first, cutting & pasting the footage into place did the trick, but now even that puts the footage at the exact same spot. Any idea why this is happening?

The priority here is:

1. In point
2. Playhead.

For new folks, I recommend doing some training as a very first step, before working on real projects. The Beginner's Guide at the very least.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
