Change frame rate after project is created

PostTue Jul 27, 2021 5:57 pm

I am still fairly new to DaVinci Resolve. Is there any way to change the frame rate of a project after the project has been created with many edits. My source videos are 1080P X 60 FPS. Unfortunately I created the project at 1080P X 24 FPS. I didn't notice it until I tried to export and noticed 1080P X 60 was not available. I would think I could change the project setting and re-render the project but I don't see how to do that.

That doesn't work.
You could try to create a new, empty timeline in 60 fps. That's possible even in the same project if you switch to Custom for the timeline settings. Then try to copy and paste the whole content of the 24 fps version, but success is not guaranteed.
It's essential to set your frame rate before you start editing in DR.
Don't approach Resolve with your expectations from other NLEs! They are all different.

Create a new timeline with the fps setting you want and copy and paste from the original timeline.

Short example is here:
Resolve Studio 17.3.1
Speed Editor 1.4
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core, 32GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 2060 Super, 8GB, Studio driver v471.68
Windows 10 (21H1 build 19043.1165)
