License Issues

PostMon Sep 06, 2021 11:17 pm

Hi, I need help from my Davinci / Resolve license.

As soon as I bought it everything was working fine and I started working with him.

A friend recently told me that it would also work with Fusion which is another software
I'm enjoying to learn. I was happy that it worked and I was studying it too. Now none of
them are working and I am getting the following message:

"maximum automatic deactivations per week exceeded"

I need Davinci / Resolve urgently and also know about the license what happened and
if I can even use Fusion or Davinci using this same license number. I don't know if this
was the problem.

Thanks,
Francisco Ruiz

It sounds like someone else is using that key.
If you deactivate the license from the help menu you can re-enter your activation key on your new computer.

An off the wall thought....
I know there are a lot of cracked/hacked licenses for all sorts of things floating about on the internet (light or dark) Could it be that your license has been high-jacked?

I have full AV running on my computers when connected to the internet (though a HW firewall). I turn it all off (and physically disconnect) when I edit so the computer is faster.
IF you have connected your edit computer to the internet, especially by any public wi-fi without any AV running you could have picked up any amount of malware. This applies equally to MAC, Linux and Windows.
