Hey All!
First post here! Is exporting an AAF limited in the free version?
I received an AAF from a client for a 1 hour show. They left the video in their AAF export and I was unable to import it into my Fairlight Dream workstation. No worries, I've got DaVinci here! I was able to load the AAF, strip the video and then render the new AAF (using the Pro Tools setting - No video, Wave format, Linear PCM Codec).....but when I import the AAF into my Fairlight Dream, most of the audio is missing (I also tried to pull the new AAF into Resolve with the same outcome). Do I need to hit the manual on this because something isn't set up right somewhere (I did read the Manual about Pro Tools export)? Or is this just a limitation of the Free version of Resolve? BTW, I did find a document of the differences between the free and paid versions, but it was from version 15 and did not address this:
