Speed editor stopped working with 17.4

PostTue Oct 26, 2021 12:10 am

Hi all, I have an issue with the speed editor and Resolve 17.4.
It was working fine with 17.3, when I updated to 17.4 I now cant connect to the speed editor at all, not via Bluetooth (which was always an issue) or by usb.

The control panel app sees that it is connected and will let me do a reset on the speed editor but once that is done I cant update the speed editor.

On my laptop which has 17.3 (17.4 never installed on the laptop) the speed editor works fine, connects via usb, works in resolve and the control panel app lets me updated it.

I reset davinci and that didn't help, uninstalled 17.4 and went back to 17.3 but still wont work.

I am guessing that the update to 17.4 has corrupted a file or something that lets resolve see the speed editor.
Does anyone have an idea on how I may fix this?
Thanks

System spec? viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190

Did you update to 1.4.1 firmware? Connection fails with both USB-C and Bluetooth?

Have you performed a Factory Reset in DaVinci Control Panels Setup?

Thanks for your reply, Yes to all your question as per my original post.

Did not see anything on the link you gave me that helped.

Didn't think system specs would be relevant to this issue as it was running fine, only change to the system was updating resolve to 17.4.

No connection issues with the Speed Editor on the macOS systems here, so a system spec would be useful to know if the issue is present on a Windows machine or a Mac.

Update, seems a driver was corrupted or something like that. Ran a driver updater and its working now.

Well that did not last long.

Same issues happening, Resolve cant see the speed editor, everything else on my system can, Blackmagic control panel app, Belarc Advisor etc all seam to be able to see it.

Have reset and updated the speed editor, reset preferances in resolve etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have attached the system info and DxDiag files

Ok , so I have found out that I have to uninstall the speed editor and drivers then reinstall the drivers to get it to work.

Each time I restart the computer I have to do this to have the speed editor to connect, bit of a pain so have shelved it, This only started happening since installing the 17.4.
