Hello dear community,

Does anyone have any experience with exporting 4K footage ?
What are the best (maximum) settings.
Greetings from Hannover / Germany

H.264 is a 'safer' codec than h.265. The newer one may not be supported by some older devices.

The problem is Resolve's H.264/5 encoder is barely functional.

I recommend exporting from Resolve in DNxHR HQ and then using Handbrake to compress to H.264.

Handbrake has millions of users, so you might well find someone who has done testing for your exact device on optimal settings. If not there are still hundreds of guides on recommended basic settings.
