Resolve can't import audio under 1 second

Using some sound effects clips from Epidemic sound, everything works great except for the really short audio clips that are registered under 1 second.

Not sure why but Resolve just won't let you import it.
I can put it into audition and extend it, but when I'm using a ton of super quick pops and clicks for SFX that are all under 1 second it becomes tedious

What would be the reason for not allowing tracks under 1 second to import? or just a bug?

Which version of Resolve? Standard (free) or Studio? 17.4.2? macOS or Windows?

Source media with a duration of less than a second imports and auditions without issue on the Timeline with Resolve Studio 17.4.2 on macOS.

Doesn't seem to be working on Windows on the Studio version (up to date)

The sound file is only a click so it's about 0.02 frames long (on a 24 frame timeline)

Anything that is just the length of a click or pop and less a few frames doesn't want to import

This has been posted before on the forums though and the end answer was just 'make it longer'
