File visibility in Media folder

PostThu Jan 27, 2022 9:57 am

Hi,

Just recently, I have noticed that when I used a SanDisc Extreme Pro 128GB SD Card, to setup a new project, when I opened the Media source window it shows the SD card but does not show any content. If I drag and drop from the same SD card from my desktop its all fine. I tested this with several other SD cards and the same problem occurs.

Do I have a setting wrong somewhere, or is this a known fault?

drag from a media device does NOT copy the files - so you can't see the files if you eject the drive.

always copy your cards to your computer! - if not and you format your card, the files are gone forever!

so, be happy resolve does not see the files ;- )

How is the card formatted? We've experienced some issues with exFAT in the past, and have had better luck with Mac OS Extended. NTFS is generally fine as well. Apple advises using APFS for SSD cards.

Thanks Marc,

I am just trying out the various format options. I will let you know the outcome.
