How to Grab a Screenshot Instead of a Still?

PostMon May 16, 2022 7:29 pm

Hi,

In the Color module, when I do Right-Click > Grab Still .... it actually grabs a short clip, not a still.

Then when I do Export -- it exports a different screen shot than I have marked. It seems to be choosing a random screenshot from the exported short clip.

Is there a way to export one specific location / frame / screenshot?

Thanks,
Robert

I'd be interested in seeing a video of this happening. I've been using DR for a couple years now and haven't seen this.

When you grab a still and it's in your gallery, it can be scrubbed like it's a video because it's there as a reference image / LUT. If you scrub through then right click then it may be doing what you're seeing. But if you just right click on it, it exports the image you told it to.

Ok, tried it a different way and it worked. I first did Play Still. Then when I exported the still it was the correct frame.

The problem I saw was that whenever my cursor goes inside the red boundaries of the selected still -- it automatically starts scrubbing. But Play Still seemed to orient it to the right location.

Frank,

Thanks. Didn't know that was possible.
