PostTue May 17, 2022 6:34 pm

Hello, i noticed that when i render the clip in 4k; mov; 10000kb quality;h264, the quality is worse than the original, i show you in this two images.

ORIGINAL CLIP

RENDER CLIP

the timeline it's 4k such as the render settings, and if i rendere the same clip in another project the quality it's good, but in this project appears to be of inferior quality. Can you tell me why? thank you.

I didn't look at the samples, but if you want best h.264/5 render quality, render out an intermediate format from Resolve (Prores or DNxHR, for example), and compress it to h.264/5 in something like Handbrake or Shutter Encoder.

That's quite a low bitrate for 4k. What is the bit rate of the original footage?

The original footage has 94053kbps, but if I render the same clip by itself in a new project the quality is good, i don't know why.

Maybe check 100000kbps instead of 10000kbps

Use these settings, adjusting Resolution, Frame rate and Key Frames accordingly.

BulRay encodes h264 1080 in the neighborhood of 40,000 mbps. A 4K encode would then need to be 4x that, or 160,000 mbps for the same quality.

Well, my experience with Blu-ray is HD in 12,000 to 16,000.
But nevertheless, give UHD plenty of bitrate!
