Bug? Timeline view shifts when opening a panel

PostWed May 18, 2022 3:48 pm

Hi there,

I don't know if this a bug in the newest version or for a while...but it's pretty annoying.

When I pace the timeline indicator in the timeline at a specific time to place a title or effect when I then open the effects panel, my timeline view is shifted towards left.
This is pretty annoying when I quickly want to place titles or effects on specific clips.
I then have to scroll back to the right to see my clip.

Would be very cool to lock the timeline indicator position when opening a panel.

Thanks.

With the Effects panel open, hit the little square/up arrow icon directly to the left of the Media Pool icon.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I know that button. But that means that I just can see a tiny panel. Maybe this could be a small feature is the user prefs. But I think it might useful.

I think a larger monitor would be the better solution.

I got all kinds of room at 2160. ;)

Not a solution when you select a clip near the right edge of your monitor.
I mean, when u don't hit the button to reduce the panel size...

I'm saying with a larger monitor, you won't need to expand that left-hand panel.
