clean feed and primary display are switched

PostSat May 21, 2022 10:28 am

It seems that the cleen feed and primary displays are acting switched. to use a certain monitor as a clean feed i need to select it as a primary display and then it throws the timeline to the opposite monitor and then selecting the opposite monitor will put the clean feed on the proper display

is this a mac AMD issue? or does every do this weirdness

Never seen this myself. If memory serves, you do have a choice of which monitor to use for Clean Feed in the Workspace menu.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

The way I have my monitors laid out, I have the Eizo on the left and the ordinary BenQ on the right. In Windows the BenQ is set as the number 1 system monitor.
Resolve is set to use the Eizo as the Primary monitor so that the Timeline appears there. I use Clean Feed to grade so in this case I just make the BenQ the Primary monitor. Works for me. :D

im not sure what i was drinking. it always worked but something was reversed at one point. i think it was because sometimes i need to unplug my display tablet and then reboot resolve for it to recognize there were two displays so things can get dodgy . love the train track shot.
