Decklink I/O card but external, for Macbook Pro?

PostSun Jun 26, 2022 4:27 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to understand how would I "upgrade" my image mastering process and am looking to upgrade to an LG CX series tv instead of my current monitor.

Supposedly, a capture card is needed in the editing machine to send the "pure", clean video signal to the reference display (secondary Resolve monitor with fullscreen image), which I can easily set up on my desktop workstation.

But, is there a way to achieve something like this with a MacbookPro? How would I hook up this TV to the Mac? Are there external Decklink cards?

Many thanks!
Alex

I use the UltraStudio 4K Mini. There are other external boxes that blackmagic has as well.
2019 MacPro OS 12.1, 3.2GHz 16 Core, 160GB Mem, 4TB Drive, 8TB Internal Sonnet Raid, Dual Radeon Pro W5700X 16GB
LG UF 5k, 27" Tbolt Display, 55" LG C8
Resolve Edit Keyboard, Mini Panel, US 4K Mini
Resolve Studio Ver. 17.4.3
Desktop Video 12.1
