Syncing on Waveform again

I've go two long audio wav files and 15 or so relatively short braw files that I'd like to align based on waveform. How do I do that.

So far I've tried selecting all the clips from the edit page, right clicking on Auto Sync Audio/Based on Waveform Append Tracks. Nothing really happens. I've tried opening the clips on the timeline and the audio files are simply stick on the end.

I also tried selecting the clips after putting them all onto separate tracks on a timeline. When I select and right click on the clips, Auto Sync Audio is simply not there.

Is it really possible to align on waveform?

Yes I have... also searched and read many of the posts already on here. Just that nothing's working like manual says it might. Back to hand done.
