Waves plugins for fairlight module

PostFri Mar 11, 2022 7:51 pm

I have been using waves plugins version 12 , a equaliser, and a noise removal etc.
I am try it test anew on which is version 13 from Waves.
Has any body had any problems with Waves v13 plugins?
Here is email I received from them,
Thank Alistair

Hello,

Please Note that Davinci Resolve is not an officially supported host DAW for Waves Plugins.
This does not necessarily mean that it will not work, just that we didn't test or qualify our plugins to run on it.
If it doesn't we are limited in our ability to assist.

I suggest making sure the plugin is correctly installed following these steps:

First, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V13
Look for Clarity Vx.bundle.

If it is not there, install the plugin following these instructions .

If the issue persist please consult Davinci Resolve's tech support or search the web on how to rescan your plugins.

Let me know if any further help is needed,

Best Regards,
Gal Aner

Quiet here, isn't it?

I've just installed the Clarity Vx plugins as a demo on my Resolve Studio v18b4 install.

I've noticed that the effects don't appear in the Effects palette for dragging onto audio segments, but they DO appear if I + an effect to a track.

That's FAR from ideal. I need only occasional clips noise reducing, not an entire track.

In any case, there's terrible stuttering so it's useless realtime on my machine where RX9 Advanced works very happily.

I have contacted waves support.

It works when you start Resolve via Rosetta.

Yes It's working for me in Resolve v17. WINDOWS

I have both demo versions but I can't get the pro version to work in Resolve Fairlight though. It only shows the Basic VX version.

I never could drag the FX onto a single clip, but since I installed the Demo for the Pro version, it lets me .

But that's only the basic version, It still doesn't show the Pro version

**EDIT -- I just had to restart resolve a bunch of times then it was there.
