Cloud Project - Where ??

I'm just about to create my first project in the cloud, and I'm based here in the northwest of the USA.

I'm going to be collaborating with editors in Asia.

Does it it matter whether I specify Northern CA or Singapore in the region location?

I have a similar issue:

I am based in Europe, I successfully activated my BM Cloud subscription.

My editor is also European, but is based in Asia. He is not able to create a cloud account. I am unable to share my cloud library with him. We both have a full studio license of Davinci Resolve.

Edit:
regardless of the region my editor chooses, it keeps saying "Invalid sign up" in red letters. He is using the same email account which he used to register his Resolve license with.

Any help would be much appreciated!

If he's already previously signed up / registered his email address with the Blackmagic Cloud service then I think subsequent attempts to sign up with the same email address will give an 'Invalid sign up' error. Ask your editor to try the 'Log In' link, instead of the 'Sign Up' link.

Hi Andy,

thanks for that suggestion. Unfortunately, when I try to share with him, it says "user not registered" and when he tries to retrieve his password, there is no email. However, there was no verification email sent to him to confirm his sign up, so maybe it got lost somewhere. He checked spam etc. all the usual steps to retrieve all communication from BM cloud, to no avail.

If it’s about location, a VPN service might help.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Thanks Uli,

but I do not think it is about location. I also tried to make an account with one of my own email addresses (fairly new addres, 10 days old). It also didn't send me an activation email. So there may be something going on at the BM Cloud side, maybe back log or wait list? Perhaps someone from support can chime in. We of course also opened a support ticket.

Same here. Couldn't log in, tried to reset password but I didn't get the email to reset password. Tried multiple times.

Any luck anyone?

It was working for us between UK and Germany – even after Brexit ;-) .

UPDATE: support finally got back to us, they had to manually reset the account. It is working now.
