Chaning Timeline Framerate Without Deleting Timeline?

PostSat Oct 01, 2022 2:40 am

Hello everyone! I'm new to Resolve so excuse how silly this question must sound.

I finished up a big project in Resolve only to, when attempting to export the project, to realize that that timeline framerate somehow got set to 24 fps. I saw in a guide that you can "change" the timeline framerate, which is usually impossible to change (not sure why), by creating a new timeline and copying the old timeline into it.

Is this the case? Will creating a new timeline delete my old timeline? Is there anything else I should know when doing this? Is there a simpler way to go about this? I suspect that creating a new timeline won't delete my old one and that copying the old timeline into the new one should be simple after changing the project settings so that it's at 60 fps, but considering how much time I've spent on this project, I'd rather not risk it. Thanks in advance to everyone who replies!

New timelines won't affect old ones.

Copy the clips from the old and Paste into the new.

Check all your edits.

Audio Track Effects will have to be re-done.

Timeline Markers will have to be re-done.

Got this done and while a lot of the re-dos are a little annoying, this definitely kept the video intact, for the most part. Thanks for the info!
