New Windows 11 Update is Creating Issues In Resolve 18.4

Hey I just Updated my Pc to the Latest Windows 11 Version & Audio Problems have Knocked on the Door again. For the First Few Seconds of the Clip Audio isn't playing & it's showing a Flat Line instead of a Waveform in the Green Box. Please Help or Fix it ASAP.

Happening to me too. I was staying on 17 for some reason and when windows updated to a major build this began to happen. You can make whatever you're editing a compound clip and the audio waveforms read properly at the beginning. Doesn't sacrifice video quality or anything, just a workaround.

The problem for the audio waveform is with my davinci resolve (free verison 18.0.4), before updating the windows 11-22H2 update everything is working fine.. now with the waveform there is first 2-3 seconds glitch in audio and the same part is not rendering for some clips...
also the first 20 seconds of audio waveform is noth showing in the clip.

to find the solution i have wasted my 2 days and for this even i have formatted my system once and installed windows 11 with fresh partition, also installed davinci's older verison like 17.4 and 17.3 but nothing worked , finally i concluded that this is the problem caused by new windows 11 upadate 22H2.

though i find a temporary solution for this... use a compound clip for each clip by right clicking on clip by doing this you can view the missing audio form..

hope this will get resolve soon by makers.

system : Asus ROG/16 GB ram/512 ssd/6GB nvidea GTX1660

BMD is aware of the issue and investigating.

No telling how long it may take, so you may want to roll back Windows to 22H1.


(On a side note, we're only up to version 18.0.4.)

A New 22H2 for x64 (KB50173890) has showed up. I don't lnow what it means but gonna install it & see if anything Changes.

Windows 11 KBS5018496 was just released a few days ago and still doesn't address this. Still missing the first 20 seconds as well.
