18.1.1 glitch cut page

having a glitch in cut page. if i select source clip viewer and there is no clips in media pool and only folders, resolve freezes up forcing a a quit.

on mac monterey.

to replicate the issue, in cut page / with media pool on master bin, showing no media only folders / click on the source tape viewer icon / and for me it freezes everytime

Nope, doesn't happen here. I can switch back and forth between Timeline and Source Tape to my hearts delight. Something must be messed up on your machine.
What happens if you import the project under a new name?

so i can do that switch in other projects fine but those dont have mts files. maybe its an issue when using mts files? try adding one of those in a project and you may get that issue?

That's a transport stream. I have none around. You could try and re-pack that into a .mov with one of the free tools like Shutter Encoder.
