No Waveforms

PostSun Dec 04, 2022 3:14 pm

Hi there,

Resolve will not show me waveforms(again...). What i tried:

- Waiting for it to show up
- Toggle timeline view options
- Generate optimized media
- Switch on smart render Cach
- Delete CachClip
- New project

The sound is a 45min Wave recorded with a Zoom H4n, Stereo.

But even the in-camera-sound from the bmpcc 4k (braw) does not have any waveform. But the .mov files from a Panasonic GH5s do have a waveform! Please help, i dont understand this.

With Resolve closed, change the name of the .wav file on the hard drive. Then open the project and import that newly named clip again.

Report back.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Wow, strangely enough, it worked. Thank you! Also making a compound clip made the waveforms appear, but a compound clip would be inconvenient for me, so renaming does it for now.

I hope the waveform issue will be fixed some day.
