Using markers in timeline question

PostFri Jan 27, 2023 2:52 pm

Hi

I thought it would be a cool idea to edit my long interview in the timeline and assign each clip in the timeline with a marker and then number them 1,2,3 etc - all good and well. Why then do these markers not appear under the markers menu dropdown (...) - after all the whole point opf markers is to be able to then go to a specific marker?

If there is a better workflow where I can name each clip and quickly go to it then please tell...

You're on the Edit page, Index panel, Markers tab?

OK.

I have it working fine here in Studio 18.1.2 on Windows 10. Both clip and timeline markers are showing up for me. Newly added markers in my testing got added to the list.

I'm not using/haven't tested Duration Markers. Are you?

Are you putting markers on the timeline or the clips? I would think (I haven't tested this) that markers on the timeline wouldn't appear on the index. At least that's a possibility.

All markers in the active timeline are listed in the index for me, Thom ie both clip markers and timeline markers, single frame markers and duration markers.

I use Studio. I don't believe there are any limitations here with Free.
