Video/Audio probs Ultrastudio Mini Monitor

PostThu Feb 02, 2023 8:34 pm

Hi all... at home I've been using this setup: iMac Pro, OS big Sur 11.7.3, Ultrastudio Mini Monitor, FSI CM250, currently Resolve 18.1.0. Everything working fine for some years.

I've not been using it for a few months! A couple days ago I found that viewing on the external monitor a and v were out of sync a fair bit. Didn't recall that being a prob. (This was HD 1920x1080, 24fps. I set up a test with color bars and test tone and the delay is 5 fps. Changing the Ultrastudio's audio delay in user prefs didn't have any effect.

I tried updating Desktop Video and now find the No Desktop Video Device Detected and can't get the device to be recognized. Security permissions have been given to the updated Desktop Video. I've swapped out cables, put in a spare Mini Monitor, etc. Tried every Desktop Video version from 11.7 to 12.4.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks, Ed

You know, I really did try everything before posting the above. I think it was posting the above that solved the problem. Device is now recognized.

A/V delay solved. Desktop Video had been changed to System Settings for i/o Engine in Resolve Preference User Settings.
