Yes, TG Pro and similar alternatives which shows T°, HD room, memory use, network activity etc etc in the menu bar could show and overheating problem, and allows to troubleshoot it before it totally restarts the machine...
But you can also watch the activity, memory and/or GPU usage, and no need for extra app for that.
Now, say we're sure (actually we're not without real monitoring) it's not the issue source, if Resolve is the only software where it happens, could it be a plug-in issue ? Like anything which was installed out of the regular Resolve installation ?
Anyway, in addition to these specific investigations, the Console would show you anything you want to know...
