Problem with Powergrades/Stills since v17.4.3

PostMon Feb 21, 2022 4:52 pm

Hi!

I've an issue with 17.4.3 and 17.4.4 versions.
When I drag a node still or a powergrade in a new grade node the interface freezes and all the media in the timeline appears Offline. After a couple of minutes all seems to work correctly again, but it messes with my workflow, I can't work without using node stills.
I've tried a lot of things to solve this problem but nothing helps.

I'm working on a Imac 2020 10 cores, 128Gb RAM and AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16Gb. The operating system is Monterey.

Thanks!

Hi! I've updated to 17.4.5and the issue persists.

I've also emailed to Blackmagic support a few weeks ago and I have no response.
Is anyone having this problem too?

it cant be a common issue.. can you take a phone video of what you are doing, and also attach resolve generated logs.

Hi!
Any news about this issue?

I've sent a message to technical support weeks ago I have no response. It's really difficult to work with this bug.

Hi.
Problem persists in Davinci 18. I have two workstations and the problem appears in both.
Any solution?

I was working with clients today at their in-house suite on Resolve 17 and this problem plagued me all day. I've never experienced it before.

Yes, I tried everything. In fact, we use two different workstations in my studio and we have this issue in both.

just as a test, and just because in v18 the database node structure changed, can you rebuild that powergrade form scratch and try with the fresh one?

Even if it in not identical, just as a test.

Yes,
I have already done it. It happens with every powergrade, even if I created it right before.

I've noticed that sometimes I can avoid the issue if I work on a single screen.
I don't know if this make any sense
