Thirds and other grid guidelines

PostFri Mar 24, 2023 9:57 pm

We use Davinci for our production company , from what I know , there is no grid overlay embedded on the. Davinci’s viewer … so we are relying on a plug-in in the timeline node!

The problem is that I renders with the final video, and it’s very easy to forget to unable it before render , and without mentioning the time lost enabling the plug in, and having to go to color page everytime we need to disable This have slowed our operations because the editors have to render it over and over , and it’s annoying .

Is there any way for you guys to include it natively in the viewer ?

Is there any easier way to do this in the edit page ?

Use an adjustment clip on a video track above all your content on the Edit Page.
Add the built in Grid effect and customise to your needs.
Disable the entire video track before rendering the output.

That’s the problem man … have to add track and effects … and then disable it … is easy to forget to disable …

They should include it as a build into the software … so it can be easily added and no implications in the final render !

You don't see the grid on the Deliver page?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
