I do my subtitle on a smaller timeline (1080p), with zero effects or anything to not be slowed down...
The I copy and past them on my final timeline, 1440p or 4k, then I load my subtitles track preset (since we can't have have one fixed for the whole project, I wrote a feature request for it).
Here a test, where I just changed the TL resolution from 1080p to 1440p
The line spacing doesn't adapt itself to the new resolution
